Best Kimchi Fried Rice Recipe With A Special Ingredient

Kimchi Fried Rice is my comfort food because my mother used to cook it for me a lot when I was a child. After I grow up and come to the United States for education, I begin to figure out my own recipe for it. Today, I will share this recipe with you guys!

In this recipe, I am going to use the special ingredient - cauliflower rice - instead of regular rice, because it is more healthy and helps you get the vegetable you need for the day. (Check my Cook Ingredient Blog to see where I get my cauliflower rice.)


Kimchi Fired Caulirice (15 minutes to make)

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1/2 small onion, medium dice

  • 1 cup chopped kimchi

  • 1/2 canned tuna

  • 2 tablespoons kimchi juice

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil

  • 1 tablespoon Korean spicy sauce

  • 1 egg

  • 2 cups frozen cauliflower rice

  • salt

  • korean seaweed

Preparation

  1. In a nonstick pan, put vegetable oil and wait till the oil is hot. Add onions and stir until the onion is soft.

  2. Add tuna and tuna oil from the can. Add kimchi and kimchi juice, and stir until it comes to boil, about 2 minutes.

  3. Add frozen cauliflower rice in the pan, and stir it to break pieces up. Until the rice is hot, about 5 minutes, add soy sauce and Korean spicy sauce. Stir, taste, and add salt and sesame oil.

  4. Heat up another pan and cook a sunny side-up egg in it.

  5. Place the kimchi fried rice on a plate and add the egg on the top of it. Put some seaweed to add more flavors.

  6. Break up the egg yolk and enjoy your delicious kimchi fried caulirice!
